Pop-up cinemaDuring the Dutch Film Festival from September 27th to October 5th, a number of short films can be enjoyed at the station. From 12.00 - 21.00 h, travelers can take place in the pop-up cinema on the first floor. The NFF takes care of the programming of the films. The premiere of the films in the Pop-Up cinema will take place on September 27 at noon. The Pop-up cinema is then opened by Silvia van der Heiden, director of the Netherlands Film Festival and Mirjam Schokker, manager station Utrecht Centraal. Visitors to this opening can win tickets for the premiere of 'Niemand in de stad' of the Dutch Film Festival in cinema Pathe Rembrandt that same evening.
Besides the Pop-Up cinema, the 'Velo Electro' is also to be found in the station hall. A converted Velorex car with screens on the roof. In the Velo Electro, short trailers of the public premières are shown, including 'Niemand in de stad', 'Superjuffie' and 'Sprekend Nederland'.
In the pop-up cinema, travelers can get acquainted with the wonderful Dutch films. Short films, documentaries and animated films will be shown. The cinema is free for everyone. The films last 5 to 15 minutes and are suitable for all ages. In total there is three hours of film material.
